What Needs Fixing?
Not sure which system it is? That’s fine — pick “I’m not sure” and we’ll figure it out on the call.
We Fix What Others Replace
Most people who call us have already been told they need a whole new system. Often, they don’t. Here’s how we work.
Repair before replace
A failed capacitor, a dirty coil, a low charge or a faulty sensor are repairs — not reasons to buy a new system. We fix the fault in front of us, and we only raise replacement when the numbers genuinely stop making sense for you.
A quote before we touch anything
We diagnose the problem, explain it in plain language, and give you the price. You decide what happens next. No work starts, and nothing gets added to your bill, without your say-so — and the repair is quoted separately, once we actually know what’s wrong.
No pressure, ever
Nobody on our team works on commission-driven upsells. If your system has years left in it, we’ll tell you. If it’s genuinely at end of life, we’ll show you why — then leave you to think about it.

Not Sure Which System It Is? Start With the Symptom
Most people don’t know whether the problem is the furnace, the heat pump, the boiler or the thermostat — and you don’t need to. Find your symptom below and we’ll take it from there.
No heat anywhere
Could be the furnace, the boiler, a heat pump stuck in cooling, or a thermostat that’s lost power. All four are things we service.
No cooling in summer
An air conditioner or a heat pump running in cooling mode. Usually charge, a capacitor or a control fault — rarely the whole system.
No hot water
On a combi boiler or tankless unit this is a heating fault, not a plumbing one. Usually the diverter valve or the heat exchanger.
Banging, rattling or humming
New noises are worth catching early. Fan motors, bearings, delayed ignition or sludge in a hydronic loop all announce themselves first.
Energy bill has jumped
Same house, same weather, bigger bill. Usually a system quietly losing efficiency or backup electric heat carrying the load.
Nothing turns on at all
Dead at the thermostat. A breaker, a control board, a safety lockout, wiring, or a failed contactor — cheap to diagnose properly.
Some rooms hot, some cold
Rarely the main unit. Usually zone valves, a circulator pump, ductwork, or a system that was never balanced after install.
Water pooling or pressure dropping
A blocked condensate drain on a furnace or AC, or a hydronic system losing water somewhere. Both cause damage if left.
Service & Tune-Up Specials
One price, whatever we find. $119 + tax gets a Red Seal technician to your door. If your system is fine, that’s a full tune-up. If we find a fault, we’ll tell you before we switch — the visit becomes a diagnostic at the same starting price.
Heating Tune-Up
$119 + tax
FortisBC offers a $50 rebate on qualifying heating tune-ups. Eligibility is set by FortisBC, not by us — we’ll tell you whether your system and home qualify before you book.
Furnace or boiler, inspected, cleaned and safety-checked before the cold sets in. Find a fault instead? We’ll say so before we switch — the $119 becomes your diagnostic.

This Is Our Actual Work
Not stock photos. These are real TAK jobs in local homes — the equipment we service and the standard we leave it at.
Three Steps. No Surprises.
You’ll know exactly what’s happening, what it costs, and what we recommend — before any tools come out of the van.
Tell us what’s wrong
Call us or send the form. We’ll ask a few quick questions about your system and the symptom, then book a visit that fits your schedule.
We diagnose and quote
A Red Seal certified technician tests the system properly, finds the actual fault, and explains it in plain language with a clear price. You decide whether we proceed.
We fix it — and clean up
Most repairs are completed on the same visit. We test the system with you, show you what changed, and leave your home the way we found it.
Meet Tony — Owner, and Still on the Tools
TAK isn’t a call centre with a dispatch board. Tony Wong founded the company in Coquitlam in 2021 after learning the trade in Fort St. John, and he still runs jobs himself alongside his technicians.
That matters when you’re letting a stranger into your home. The person who quotes your repair is accountable for it — there’s no sales rep, no commission target, and no incentive to talk you into equipment you don’t need.

Takes about 30 seconds. We’ll call you back with the likely cause and get you booked in — then you decide.

The Questions Everyone Asks Us
The things people worry about before they pick up the phone — answered honestly.
Yes — that’s the normal starting point, not a problem. Most people know their house is cold or their bill has doubled; almost nobody knows whether that’s the furnace, the heat pump, a zone valve or a thermostat.
Describe what you can observe — no heat, no hot water, a noise, a smell, a bill — and we’ll narrow it down on the phone before we come out. Working out which box is at fault is our job.
$119 plus tax. That brings a Red Seal certified technician to your door, and it covers the visit whether your system turns out to need a tune-up or a diagnosis.
We check the system is running properly before we start a maintenance — so you’re never paying for a tune-up on a system that already has a fault. If we find one, we’ll tell you there and then that the visit becomes a diagnostic instead. Diagnostic time is billed by the hour, and troubleshooting is usually done inside that first hour.
Once we know what’s wrong we quote the repair, and you decide. The visit fee covers the technician’s time finding the fault — it’s separate from the price of the repair.
If the system genuinely needs replacing rather than repairing, the estimate for a new one is free.
Yes, and that’s deliberate. A lot of companies specialise in forced air and quietly decline hydronic work, or handle cooling but not heat pumps properly. It leaves homeowners chasing two or three contractors for one house.
We’re Red Seal certified and gas licensed, and we service furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, combi and tankless systems. One team, one visit, one number to call.
Same-day service when we have availability — and the Tri-Cities are right on our doorstep. Our shop is on Roderick Avenue in Coquitlam, so Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody are all short runs for us.
In a cold snap or a heatwave we prioritise homes with young children, elderly residents or anyone with a medical need. Call us for the fastest answer on today’s availability — the phone gets you a real person rather than a queue.
Only if it’s genuinely true — and we’ll show you why. Our whole reputation is built on repairing systems other companies wanted to replace. Most of what we see is capacitors, contactors, sensors, ignitors, pumps, valves and control boards, and every one of those is a repair.
If your system really is at end of life we’ll explain the reasoning, give you the repair cost and a free estimate for replacement, and let you decide in your own time. No pressure and no same-day-only discounts.
Yes, and it’s the same $119. Whether it’s a furnace, a boiler, an air conditioner or a heat pump, an annual service is a full inspection, clean, safety check and performance test.
You don’t have to work out which visit you need. $119 + tax gets a Red Seal technician to your door. If the system is fine, that’s your tune-up — and FortisBC’s $50 rebate applies to heating tune-ups that qualify under their rules. If we find a fault, we’ll tell you before we switch — it becomes your diagnostic instead, at the same price.
Yes — all makes and models, regardless of age or who installed it. Our technicians work regularly with Mitsubishi, Daikin, American Standard, Continental, Tosot and Navien equipment, and we repair every other major brand as well.
We’re also happy to take on systems another company installed. You don’t need to go back to whoever put it in.
A member of our team calls you back to ask a couple of quick questions about the system and the symptom, then books a visit at a time that suits you. That’s it — no automated sequences, no sales calls, and we never pass your details to anyone else.
If it’s urgent, calling 778-846-4822 is always faster than the form.
